Kurt Mosley serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Merritt Hawkins & Associates, Staff Care, and Med Travelers; divisions of AMN Healthcare, Inc., the nation’s largest health care staffing organization. AMN Healthcare is composed of the leading companies in health care staffing, including the afore mentioned companies, American Mobile Healthcare, NursesRx, O’Grady Peyton, NurseChoice, Preferred Healthcare Staffing and others. Mr. Mosley is responsible for corporate client development and client relations for the firm. Mr. Mosley is a Supporting Member on The Council on Physician and Nurse Supply and is actively involved in corporate political action lobbying of physician and nurse supply. Mr. Mosley also serves as liaison for the multiple health care organizations nationwide, which endorse AMN Healthcare brands.

Mr. Mosley is nationally recognized as a leading authority on a wide range of medical staffing issues and trends including health care professional supply and demand trends, physician-hospital relations, compensation, compliance and related matters. Mr. Mosley is one of the most published and frequently cited experts on these topics in the country. He has written on health care staffing issues for publications such as Trustee magazine and Kennedy Information and has been cited in dozens of periodicals including U.S. News & World Report, Modern Healthcare, HealthLeaders, Hospitals & Health Networks, USA Today, Medical Economics, The Washington Times, Bloomberg’s Financial News and Orthopedics Today.

Mr. Mosley served as contributing editor to Merritt Hawkins & Associates’ highly regarded book, “Will the Last Physician in America Please Turn Off the Lights? A Look at America’s Looming Doctor Shortage.” This authoritative look at the physician shortage was described as “a must read” by Charles Lauer, publisher of Modern Healthcare magazine, and as “required reading,” by Richard Cooper, MD, the nation’s leading expert on physician supply. Also the authors of “Merritt Hawkins & Associates’ Guide To Physician Recruiting” personally thank Mr. Mosley for his assistance and expertise in compiling the publication which has been purchased by organizations such as the Medical Group Management Association, Mayo Health System, Cleveland Clinic and a multitude of others. In addition, Mr. Mosley has recently been quoted in the Insider’s Guide to Finding A Job, Expert Advise From America’s Top Employers And Recruiters, a book providing strategic and tactical advice for building and managing professional careers. Mr. Mosley also sits on the selection committee of Staff Care’s annual philanthropic award, Country Doctor of the Year®, which is presented to a physician who best exemplifies the spirit, skill, and dedication of America's rural medical practitioners.

A nationally noted speaker, within the past two years alone, Mr. Mosley has addressed more than 45 state hospital and medical associations and other health professional groups across the country reaching over 4,500 industry leaders and decision makers. Mr. Mosley has been selected to preside over round table discussions on staffing by a variety of prominent organizations, including Kennedy Publications, which sponsors an annual Recruiting Conference and Expo in New York City. Mr. Mosley also was invited to chair a special physician recruiting conference scheduled by the United States Army to discuss staffing challenges presented by the war in Iraq. In addition, Mr. Mosley has been cited on staffing issues by the Health Care Advisory Board, Washington, D.C.

A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Mr. Mosley spent several years in professional baseball. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
