Steven M. Gordon, M.D.
is the Hospital Epidemiologist, Infectious Disease Department at the Cleveland
Clinic, who has worked with the Centers for Disease Control, Emory and
Cornell Universities, the U.S. Public Health Service and University of
Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Gordon will review some of the driving forces in
new and emerging infectious diseases, including Sudden Acute Respiratory
Syndrome (SARS) and Monkeypox outbreaks in 2003, and highlight important
considerations for health practitioners and the public at large.
